i am always in my bedroom when i am at home and never in the living room. Last night when i thought about it, i immediately went to sit on the couch, and this was when i realized our living room wasn't friendly enough to be in there. I decided that the next morning i will rearrange the whole room. So this is what i did earlier today. During this mission i broke the already unstable dinner table and hurt my back very much while trying to balance the glass top that i broke off. Now the glass top is put on a coffee table and the part that held the top will serve as a vase for flowers. We agreed with my flatmate that the living room looks better like this. Lets hope my back wont hurt for much longer because I have something to do on oxford street now and loads of studying to do in the next few weeks that I'm planning to start later today: I have a fashion buying project to hand in in two weeks, and I have a lot to read and research...

I will finish off my day by meeting friends for dinner and drinks in east London.

At the OR for Dune preview night, they had a little polaroid competition, where you had to choose your favourite pair from the collection, and take a polaroid pic with it. On top it is my polaroid pic (and my awful handwriting, i was trying so hard to make it easy to read:)...never works, haha) and some images on how i wore them today in this beautiful weather. They just arrived this morning, perfectly for this sunny day. So thank you again Olivia Rubin and Dune!!

I haven't been able to attend, so here you can read an excerpt from the press release which hopefully will make you all want to attend the 3 day event in Budapest, Hungary, next year like me!

"The project has been founded by Sophie Baksa stylist and Dora Abodi fashion designer to serve as an independent platform for regional and international video artists. Beside the contest screenings, the festival visitors could have an inside view on fashion video genre through fashion related conferences, and informational screenings with artists like Wing Shya, Marisa Crawford, Zena Holloway, Filep Motwary, Tess Feuilhade, Andrew Kuykendall, Kathryn Ferguson, Andreas Waldschuetz, Jason Last and Jamie Rubiano. The program also embraces the opportunities of interactive new media in fashion.The festival sponsored and provided art direction and styling for the invention of various installations (...)

The contest screening showcased the 26 best pre-selected works of the 38 entries. The jury selected three winners and three special prizes and ended the festival at the Festival Award Gala, held in Merlin Theatre, Budapest."

As of fashion designers in Hungary don't get enough coverage and recognition yet, I think it is a very good initiative that Marie Claire mag started its own fashion days. The 'MC Fashion Days' is not a trade event, it is for the public which is why it is even better. Readers of the magazine got free access to the shows that were repeated over the weekend 2 times a day giving the chance to as many people as possible to view the collections.

Two different generations had the chance to showcase their collections: The New Generation and The Future Generation, with my favourite being as always the Kepp Showroom.

I think Kepp Showroom was able to show directional pieces, with outstanding styling (which as I heard they thought was too daring, but luckily they still went with it). I loved the fur element, (I actually don't know if it is real or fake fur, I was looking for a report on the show, but couldnt find any, anyway doesnt really matter) which I unfortunately havent touched yet, but it looks like a nice thing to touch and not the scary one that you can find most places. My favourites were the fur bag and gloves and the beige tops.

My only concern is that red background light. I think it would have been better to use neutral lights, as there were many different collections going down the runway and neutral lights would have possibly complimented each collection better then this red.

The Marc Jacobs show was highely inspired by the seventies. Marc Jaobs showcased clothes with big, emphatic pockets, "autumnal" colours like different hues of darker reds, oranges and gold, prints a la 70's, flared and loose fitted trousers, diagonally cut mid calf length skirts with many of these putting the accent on the waistline.

I have been begging her for this for a long time but she loved it too much until now. The denim shorts are from H&M. I am a little bit bored of these shorts, but i tried this outfit with a black silk one and it felt too chic so I changed it to these ripped denim shorts. The sandals are from Zara, I bought them many seasons ago on a super sale:) and they are still in good condition! The LV purse is a birthday gift from this random blogger!

So i am wearing my favourite trousers with the new shoes i bought for the premiere, which is a really good investment since it goes perfect with almost anything! These are Zara trousers, Miss KG shoes ( sub brand of Kurt Geiger) and topshop to with my favourite H&M bra. On top i have Marks & Spencer ( i dont know its name, but sort of coat) with Zara belt that i alo wear with almost everything. My year at uni is finally finished and am looking forward for the summer at home and meeting GalacticMauve in Debrecen.:)

SATC 2 Premiere

Wow, this night was so amazing!! So we went to meet the grazia people at Leicester square at 4h20, we went inside where later on the astors and actresses were making their tours, we took photos for Grazia and then we headed to our place which was exactly behind where all the stars mae their entry on the redcarpet, the photographers were just in front of us, blinding us with the flash and so SJP and the others were posing just in front of us. I am not really a starstruck person neither my friend Katja, so we were there without a pen or paper. Which is when i decided if could get just a pen, i would ask SJP to sign my purse:) which she did after she went wow for my necklace:), nfortunately by the end of the neight the autograph dissapeared, but thats fine. It was so awkward though to stand as a background for all the celebrity pictures ( i got attacked by a bee, i guess it came for my yellow nails) of whom we only knew the SATC cast. Then i went to ask SJP if i could take a photo of us, she agreed, but unfortunately my party photo skills left me, as she is on the pic but i am not ( well one eye and my nose is there). The movie was amazing as well, it was a million times better than the first one plus it was the very first time i did not sleep during an after 4pm movie. I always sleep at least ten mins towards the end, no matter what, and so it is really surpring how i managed to stay awake during the whole time ( maybe it was the champagne). I must also add how beautiful all the actresses of SATC were, i never knew they actually looked this amazing! really really beautiful!

I was wearing almost all topshop except bag which was H&M, and shoes Miss KG and Katja from wonderland Philosophy was wearing a Zac Posen x Wolford dress, Carvela shoes, Aldo bag.

When my V&A newsletter arrived I was very happy to see that they will have a free fashion show showcasing the London based Osman Yousefzada's work. The show was as mentioned before a free event open to public but subject to pre-reggistration. I registered for 3 tickets for the first show, and so went to V&A this last friday at 1pm. The show that was held in the Rafael Gallery started 30 mins late but as I wasnt alone the time passed fast with a sort of dance preformance and then followed by the models wearing pieces from previous collection by Yousefzada. The last collection (aw10-11) is on the first two pictures.

Osman Yousefzada was first inspired by his mother dressmaking business in Birmingham and then wnet on to study fashion design at Central Saint Martins. He launched his first collection in 2006, and since then designed for Mango and was nominated for the Design Museum's Design of The Year Award. He currently shows at London Fashion Week. Most beautiful things at the show: the fur coat from the aw 10-11 collection, the shoes (check them here), long white dresses just to mention a few because there were so much more...

Use Unused

So I was thinking about what to wear to the SATC's London Premiere on thursday, i decided going shopping/looking for a nude long sleeved minidress on monday and/or tuesday (those are the days when almost nobody is shopping) and because i couldnt find anything online except for one dress at american apparel I imagine this day is going to be very long. Then just for fun, i remembered how beautiful, elegant and stylish these Use Unused dresses were, and started thinking that these would be the best dresses (in order of appereance) to go in. They are not too over the top (since this is only a movie night) but still chic and not too everyday-ish.

I just won 2 tickets with this outfit to the premiere of SATC 2 in London. I entered grazia uk's competition this morning. I have never won anything before but it was worth it.:)))))))) i am sooooo excited, cant wait til next thursday!!!!!!! Thank you Grazia!!!!

I am wearing Topshop shirt, h&m skirt, zara blazer, Pura Lopez shoes and a clutch bag which i got from my Lili, who out of impulse bought it many years ago, and decided she didnt like it... so thank you for her as well, if you read!

Today i had my last sit in exam, but i still have one thing left to hand in. I have a week to go and all i can think of is how great scallops will be for dinner and all sorts of other unrelated stuff. These zara trousers are of size xs and it is still so low that it is almost too big. but i love them mostly because i can wear them in many diferent ways. This is one when i just let them loose, it is very masculine and contrasts well with heels.

I am wearing: Zara trousers, bershka shoes, marks & spencer top.

So before i really got myself concentrated on my studies for the exams i watched Loic Prigent's documentary about the House of Chanel and Marc Jacobs x Louis Vuitton. There are many reasons why I love this collection: use of colours: blue and brown together; use of material: sheepskin and silk. "Harriet’s collection is inspired by late 1960’s and early 1970’s hippie culture. Loose, flowing dresses, made from natural fibres such as silks, cotton cheesecloths and woven cottons, were chosen to portray the carefree, organic lifestyle."

"Anna, is a London based fashion designer originally from Budapest, Hungary now studying at London College of Fashion. Her graduation collection was based on Moholy’s levitating shapes and his life-long experimentations on transparency: by using overlapping see-through fabrics such as organza and chiffon, Horvath was able to ”mix“ colours. The shapes and propositions of the collection were inspired by Art Deco fashion designers such as Marti, Anon and Atalier Bachwitz."
